Transit in Transition

February 14, 2011

Ive changed things around and introduced a new slim roll top bag that is a bit smaller, simpler and sleeker and takes the name Transit from my previous zippered daypack...

The Transit Bag. For when you’re just stepping out, grab it and go. With enough room for your lock, a jacket, and even that emergency bottle of vino. It features easily accessible  pockets for your phone, wallet and pens, and a laptop sleeve. It also has a spacious waterproof interior. Durable Cordura fabric keeps the contents protected, and a vinyl liner keeps contents dry in those surprise rain showers. This bag will haul your light loads comfortably, any time you’re in Transit.

* Weatherproof main compartment
* Easy access outer pocket with phone and pen pockets
* Compression straps keep cargo from shifting
* Adjustable/removable sternum strap
* Removable waist strap
* Durable 1000D Cordura material for the body
* Balistic Nylon bottom for durability
* Floating vinyl liner keeps contents dry
* Slim back padding and contoured shoulder straps

* 10×4×18

* Handmade In California

It comes in at $180 and is available for all the customization you can dream up...
Im working on a Waxed Canvas and "Hounds tooth" bag that should look pretty slick--pictures to come soon.

This month we have pivoted to making protective face masks from densely woven cotton fabric. They can be washed or UV sterilized. We are distributing these to local front-line workers, as fast as we can get them sewn up. We are also including a pair of face masks with all ILE orders in the month of April over $100.

If you are a front-line worker and are in need of masks shoot an email to and we will do our best to meet your needs.
For those who don't need masks but would like to support mask production at ILE, a GIFT CARD is a great way to do this.
Hope everyone is staying safe during this difficult time.
